Find the equation of the normal line to f(x)=sinx+cosx at x = π.
My answer was y= x + (-1-π) would that be correct?

I rechecked my answer, and I'm confident I found the equation of the normal. As for yours:

It's not the same as mine. You must have inputted something wrong.

I don't think so I got the same coordinates and everything just for the final answer you got -1 + π = b but I think it's supposed to be -1-π=b, giving me y= x + (-1 - π)

Hi slimes,

I provided a complete answer under my first reply.

Then you showed me your work, and I responded:

Either you take my solution, or you use yours, right? Not sure what you're confused about...

Hi bio_man! you said my solution was wrong so I was confused as to how you go the final answer. I got the same coordinates and all, but for the part of -1 + π = b, isn't the sign supposed to be subtraction not addition? My work is shown above (green attachment)

Which part of my solution do you disagree with? I'm getting the sense that you know the answer, but are not telling me. Are my Spidey senses correct?

No I would have told you, not sure if I missed something in my solution but it was for this part: (attachment)

Why would you make pi negative, you're moving it over to the left side of the equation, which changes it symbol.

Yes because I didn't know you had to put the negative 1 beside the pi, in my solution it was positive that's why. I was following through y= x + b, and for the coordinates (pi, -1) the -1 is the y value.
