a) Determine the median, first and third quartiles, and interquartile range.

thanks so much  but for Q1 it says that it is 5.5 and Q3 10, you sure this is correct way to do it?

What do you mean by "it says that it is 5.5 and Q3 10"? Who said that?

Another way to verify, use the formula:

Rank = \(\frac{k\left(n+1\right)}{100}=\frac{25\left(25+1\right)}{100}=\frac{25\left(26\right)}{100}=6.5^{th}\) observation

23 is the 6th, 24 is the 7th. In between is 23.5

sorry I meant that solution stated that Q1 is 5.5 and Q3 is 10

Yeah, q1 and q3 are the same as 25th and 75th percentile, respectively

which formula or method would be used to get 5.5 for Q1 and 10 for Q3?
