Can you think of any other reasons for the popularity of teams in organizations?

The growing popularity of teams in organizations is because organizations believe working together makes the work environment not only better but it allows the subordinates to feel like they make a difference within the organization, as their opinions matter. I may be wrong, but I believe a group is more of something that is put together and forced. Not all groups want to be placed together and may not have the same goal. A team is where people come together and have the same goal an objective on working towards something. A team has a better workflow as they are working towards the same objective and common goals.
