MA = Output Force/Input Force

Output Force = Weight of the truck = 12 N

Input Force = Force applied by the child = 5 N

MA = 12 N/5 N = 2.4

Therefore, the mechanical advantage of the ramp is 2.4.

The answer is (a) 2.4.
