Does the helmet worn by the batsman in modern day cricket cover the neck? If not, this can lead to neck injuries to the batsman stuck by the ball?

Thanks.

As you mentioned, "many cricket helmets now come with additional neck guards or attachments to offer more protection", the Batsman, Wicketkeeper should only wear these type of helmets which will avoid head as well as neck injury.

To play against fast bowling, this helmet will be required.

In football and hockey, the Goalkeeper wears these helmet?

In football game, the football hit by the opponent player/s can cause head or neck injury to the Goalkeeper?

Isn' it?

First is a hockey helmet with a neck guard, the second is a football helmet. Notice that the football helmet doesn't have a neck guard. This is because neck guards are not considered essential for preventing head injuries in football.

Hope that clears your doubts!
