The total weight of Peter, David and Henry is 123 kg, Peter is 15 kg heavier than David. David is 3 kg lighter than Henry. Find Henry's weight.

See variables for each person, P is peter, D is David, and H for Henry.

We are told that the sum is 123, so:

(1) P + D + H = 123

We are also told that Peter is 15 Kg more than David:

(2) P = 15 + D

And that David is 3 kg light than Henry, so:

(3) D = H - 3

Substitute these mini equations into equation (1). But first, rearrange equation (3) so that it is in terms of D.

P + D + H = 123

(15 + D) + D + (D+3) = 123

18 + 3D = 123
123 - 18 = 3D
105 = 3D
D = 35

Sub this into (3)

35 = H - 3

H = 38 kg
