The “Get Involved” activity in our textbook had two pictures with faces expressing happiness on one side
and sadness on the other. If you responded like most people, when you looked at the nose on each face, the
happier face was the one that had a happy left side and a sad right side.  How can this be explained when
both faces were divided in half in terms of emotional expression?  Why is the other face (sad on the left
side and happy on the right) perceived as a sad face?
