in studying a population of lizards, scientists sampled 47 sections of habitat, each section was 29km^2. it was found that the density of the lizards was 1/3.8km^2
a)calculate the size of the lizard population living in the area

so stuck on this question... if there is 1 lizard/3.8km, then would there be 7.63 per section?

Population density is population divided by total land area.

1 / 3.8 = x / 29

Solve for x and multiple by 47.
