A haploid pollen grain (male) will land on the stigma (female).  The pollen grain releases sperm that get transported down to the haploid egg.  Fertilization takes place and a zygote is produced.  Therefore angiosperm reproduction takes place in the flower (pollen grain is from the anther which is on the flower and the stigma is also on the flower).
