A compound flower would be a Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale). A compound flower is any flower that appears as a single flower but in fact is made up several if not dozens of single flowers in the flower head. For instance the dandelion is acutally made of a lot of single flowers that make up the typical yellow dandelion flower you are accustomed to seeing. A simple flower would be a Daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus). An example of a dicot leaf would be a Sugar Maple Tree (Acer saccharum).
