I don't understand your problem...   You have an article that defines it.

Difusion is just the mixing of one thing into another.  It may mix completely, or not.  Most of the time it does not mix completely.

Osmosis is the "migration" of one thing into another depending on the nature of a seperating membrane,  It depends on whether of not one thing can move thru the membrane.  If it cannot, then there is no mixing.

Difusion happens when 2 different things are "mixed"

Oil and water (when they are put together) do not "mix".

sugar and water will mix (to a point) but if there are no currents, then they will "layer" pretty quickly.,
