Okay so i have to cross
a heterozygous long lash+ curly haired+ narrow nose+woman
and a heterozygous long lash broad nose man with straigh hair

This is my KEY:
L=long lashes
l= short lashes
C=curly hair
c= straight hair
B=broad nose
b=narrow nose

Now by question is how do you FOIL for a trihybrid cross? do you even use FOIL? i have no idea because this is for extra credit for bio, and my teacher said we had to figure it out Frowning Face
so someone pleaseee help me to find out how i figure out what goes on the outside if of the box
in an easy wayy to so i can understand im a freshman in HS if that helps.

thanks in advance Slight Smile

The woman is heterozygous long lash, curly haired and narrow nose, so her genotype is LlCcbb.  The man is heterozygous long lash, straight hair and broad nose, so his genotype is LlccBb.

The cross is:

(woman) LlCcbb  x  LlccBb (man)

So, the gametes produced by the woman are:
LCb
Lcb
lCb
lcb

and the gametes produced by the main are:
LcB
Lcb
lcB
lcb

You can use these gametes and set up your Punnet Square with one parent's gametes across the top and the other parent's gametes down the left side with 16 possible genotypes in the offspring.  Since this is extra credit, I'll let you take it from here.  Good luck!

This link gives an example of using FOIL.
F(irst), O(uter), I(nner), L(ast). - this describes how you combine the alleles when doing a cross.

Female gametes:LCb,Lcb,lCb,lcb x Male gametes:LcB,Lcb,lcB,lcb.
