Sharon F., I am currently a teacher.  However; the state I live in, does not have many openings and has not in several years.  Many teachers I know have left the state to pursue teaching elsewhere.  I would prefer to work at another school.

How about educational consulting?  You might wish to work for an educational publishing or software company.  You can also be self-employed as a private tutor.  

I am curious why you don't want to teach.  Did you just change your mind, but continue to get your degree anyway?
