Glucose is a monosaccharide.
When two monosaccharides are joined together by a glycosidic bond a disaccharide is produced.
EG:-
1.Maltose = glucose = glucose.
2.Lactose = glucose = galactose.
3.Sucrose = glucose + fructose.
