Cant imagine any reason to joke about handwashing. I have never heard any but I am sure in the field of biology there will be jokes about germs and bacteria.

Not a joke, but my Micro prof would have students go to the restroom without washing their hands when they were done. The students would "swab" the plates with their hands and then grow the resulting bacteria -- they always found E coli and coliforms (found in feces). This was his way of telling students to WASH their hands!!!

This was in college, not recommended for hs science due to the occasional nasty pathogens that were found.
