I am having a little trouble with the following problem :

A piece of copper (I) metal is placed in an aqueous solution of silver nitrate

it has to be a balanced chemical equation, but I cannot figure out what would be the product.

copper is more reactive than silver, so it will displace it  for the nitrate ion:
Cu + AgNO3 -> CuNO3 + Ag

the equation is already balanced
