I was wondering, I had a patient that got admitted for Afib with rapid ventricular response and appendicitis (I'm a student). After taking cardizem, will there telemetry reading be near normal or will it show Afib.

Cardizem is a calcium channel blocker. It will decrease the rate. Only anti-arrhythmic drugs will convert the rhythm.
Studies show that it is safe to rate-control A fib and that rhythm control is not necessary.
