during the onset of labour at the end of pregnancy, smooth muscle contractions are initiated as the result of
A. rise in FSH and LH levels
B. drop in progesterone levels
C. drop in estrogen levels
D. rise in progesterone levels

i thought this was due to oxytocin.... but seeing as that is not listed in any of my choices it can be it. any help would be greatly appreciated =)

Towards the end of pregnancy, the levels of progesterone drop off.

You're right, but there are more than one hormone that play a role during pregnancy.
