Cortical nephrons are different from juxtamedullary nephrons in that
A) their nephron loop is shorter, with a shorter thin segment.
B) they are much less abundant.
C) they do not have a proximal convoluted tubule.
D) they produce urine, whereas juxtamedullary nephrons do not.
