What is the final electron acceptor in the electron transport chain? What waste product is
produced when this molecule accepts electrons?

I know that oxygen is the final acceptor but I can't find this answer in my book about the waste. I thought it was CO2 (Exhaling), but i don't think that's right. Is it?

It is not water that accepts electrons at the end of the ETC;  it is oxygen.  Water is what results when the O picks up the 2 Hs to make H2O.  This is why we breathe in the first place- to get oxygen to our cells to be used as a final electron acceptor...
