So we did this lab on Thursday. We combined pieces of magnesium with several solutions, one was sulphuric acid. So how do I write word equations/balanced chemical equations on it?

Here is my attempt, but I'm not sure if it's right.

Word Equation- Magnesium and sulphuric acid are combined to produce magnesium sulphate and hydrogen.

Balanced Chemical Equation: Mg + H2SO4 Rightwards Arrow MgSO4 + H2
