A)can move substances from low to high concentrations.
B)requires energy in the form of ATP
C)requires a carrier protein
D)can move substances from low to high concentrations and requires energy in the form of ATP.

I would say D.

Here's an explanation. Passive transport can't move from low to high concentration...ever. So, D is the only option that really excludes passive transport.

"All of the above."

Active transport is the equivalent of a sump pump. Instead of electricity, ATP provides the energy required to cause something to happen which would not occur on its own. (Water does not flow uphill).

There are carrier channels involved in passive transport like diffusion for substances that are water souble and cant penetrate the phospholipid bilayer - so it cant be C) nor E)

Hope it helped Slight Smile
