How does pH affect enzyme activity? Use the enzymes pepsin and trypsin as examples.?

pH increases enzyme activity.  Both pepsin and trypsin are enzymes used to metabolize proteins. Hydrochloric acid in the stomach activates pepsin.  Trypsin works in the small intestine which secretes bicarbonate to lower the pH of the stomach, so it works in a lower pH than pepsin.
