If you mix blood cells into a 3.5 percent of saline solution, what happens?

Is it hypertonic or hypertonic. I know it is not isotonic because it would have to be 0.9.

its hypertonic. The blood cells will shrink because of the imbalance of salt and water over the blood cell membrane.

It is hypertonic. The cells will display crenation (the membrane forms little bumps because it doesn't shrink up as the cytoplasm loses water).
