Explain the effect of a microsatellite in a region controlling gene expression would have on evolution. What would be advantages and disadvantages of such positioning? In what sorts of genes would you expect to see this positioning?

Microsatellites are more subject to mutation so one of these regions could evolve to effect gene expression
