I know you need to make three different diagrams but don't understand what is composed of an ionic bond vs. covalent bond vs. metalic bond - thanks for your help!

In an ionic bond, one atom loses electrons and the other gains electrons. The bond forms from the attractive forces between a positive and negative ion.

In a covalent bond, two atoms share electrons.

In a metallic bond, metal ions are spread out in an "electron sea."

Basically, your diagram should show positive and negative ions, and how the electrons are acting. For instance: in the metallic bond you could draw rows of, say, Na+ ions with a number of free electrons floating among them.

Hope that helps!

Drawing with text would be unsuitable in this situation so refer to the diagram(s).
