I can't decide if its:
(1) 2s+2s; sp+sp; 2p+2p
(2) sp+sp; sp+sp; 2p+2p
(3) sp+sp; 2p+2p; 2p+2p
(4) sp^2 + sp^2; sp+sp; 2p+2p

answer 3.  On each of the carbons involved in the bond, the s orbital and one of the p orbitals hybridize to form an sp orbital that overlaps with the other sp orbital.  Then two 2p orbitals are left on each Carbon, and these overlap, giving 3 bonds total.
