hi there im 17 and have social anxiety/extreme shyness. it really does annoy me because i cant socialise becuase of nerves and have no friends. anyway i read this thing about the drug in the body oxytocin. the link is here. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7412438.stm
it says about how this drug may cure oxytocin. is there anyway to get hold of this in a form of medication? thanks

just over look your problems and see what good things you see in lifr. then you wont need the drug

This does not have enough testing to allow Oxycontin to be used as a treatment for social phobia or anxiety.
But, Zoloft is prescribed for both social phobia and anxiety.

This "oxytocin" stuff has nothing to do with Oxycontin, a narcotic opioid painkiller.

Oxytocin is probably still in the clinical trial stage.
