A. It can be concluded that the mutation is located in one of the inverted repeat sequences at the ends of the element.

B. It can be concluded that the mutation is located in the gag gene sequence in the middle of the element.

C. It can be concluded that the mutation is located in the transposase gene sequence in the middle of the element.

D. It can be concluded that the mutation is located in the pol gene sequence in the middle of the element.

transposase is the enzyme present in the transposons, inverted repeats are present on the both side of the transposons. Mutations in inverted repeats may unable transpose.
