suppose a researcher claims o be able to make a hybridanimal that is a cross between a human and a rhesus monkey. the normal diploid number for humans is 46, andthe normal diploid number for rhesus monkeys is 48. Based on the normal meiosis, how many chromosomes would the human gamete have, and how many chromosomes would the rhesus monkey have? Given these numbers, how many chromosomes would you expect the hybrid embryo to contain?

Based on Meiosis:

Human - 23
Rhesus - 24

You'd expect hybrid to have 47 chromosomes

I got the meiosis results bc i know that haploid is always half of diploid. To get haploid numbers, simply divide the diploid number by two. Then I just added for the last part. Got that?

n= haploid
2n=diploid
