My questions regard the heredity of the human species:

Are there only 23 chromosomes in 1 gamete?  
How many genes are in 1 chromosome?
How many alleles are in 1 gene?

A gamete is a gene.
There are thousands of genes in a chromosome
There are 22 chromosome pairs(identical pairs)
and either an xx and xy chromsome pair depending on
if you are a girl or boy.
