The Earth-Moon Distance Is Increasing Laser reflectors left on the surface of the Moon by the Apollo astronauts show that the average distance from the Earth to the Moon is increasing at the rate of 3.8 per year. As a result, will the length of the month increase, decrease, or remain the same? Why?

3.8 what? meters? centimeters?

a month is really just an invention for the calender loosely based off of the moon. it would increase length of a year, but if it's increasing by 3.8 (meters?) a year that's almost nothing compared to the total distance so it doesn't really matter.

but it would increase the length of a year because it would take longer for the full orbit to happen assuming the average speed isn't increasing
