As far as i know, GABA which a short fort Gamma Amino Butyric Acid is an inhibitory neurotransmitter located in our nervous system. Inhibitory, meaning, it inhibits the nerve impulse conduction in our nerves and this GABA controls the movement of our muscles and glands (kinesthetic sense). I haven't heard of anything about GABA directly related to burning fats but  it may have something to do w/a person's physical activity.

Nope is does not.
Gamma amino Butyric acid, is a INHIBITORY substance located primarily in the brain and spinal cord, that exerts a modulation of the neurons towards increasing the entrance of chloride ions to the neurons, thus, slowing the number of action potentials per millisecond,.,it has sedative properties (there are gaba pills in many countries used as antiepileptics or hypnotics)
GABA does NOT have any influence on the fatty metabolism, either directly nor indirectly.....
