What is the main principle we apply to balancing chemical equations?

Just make sure both sides in the equation are balanced. They have to have the same amount on both sides. For me it was confusing at first but not I'm literally a PRO on it, got all of it correct on my midterm and test. You'll understand it, you'll get a hang of it.
