I think they really aren't sure why the ozone layer is depleted...so it is a theory. Something that makes sense but has yet to be proven.
Personally, I believe that the US space launches are causing the global warming we are experiencing. Think of the ozone layer as a balloon....now put a teeny tiny pin prick in it...it might not pop (although in practice it does) but it starts to leak doesn't it...

the ozone layer is not really depleating, actually it is concentrating on the warmer zones... its a theory because it has very little fact, CFCs only create thermal insulation- green house effect(again theory) it is only theory because people fund the research to get their answers not answer questions.
not valid enough, and A LAW requires it not to have been proven wrong
