Hi,

I am a mechanical engineer and i am having trouble trying to figure out the required torque to rotate my alternator (stator and rotor couple).
Assuming we have a stator that can generate 45 Amps at maybe 12 V AC, how do i determine the force needed to rotate my rotor in the couple? hhow about if it was 45 amps at 12 V DC?
thank you
