The water depth in the tank is 1.06 meters.  A vertical door on the side of the tank holds the full depth of the water.  The door is 1.22 meters wide.

How much force does the water put on the door?

How tall is the door?  and is it starting at the bottom of the tank?

I'm not positive I can figure this out (i forget my calculus) but that information is definetly needed.

pressure = pgh = 9800*1.06=10388 pascal& force = area of the pressure (triangle) = .5 * pressure*h=5504.64 / m

total force = 5504.64*1.22 = 6.7 kN

p.s : height of door is not important , cause its said that it holds the whole water depth

Amerson has it right.  6.7 kN or 1508 lbs.
