compare and contrast pinocytosis and phagocytosis. am having difficulty looking for the answer.

Pino- refers to the cell taking in fluids (I like to think of it as drinking) and Phago- refers to the cell taking in solid materials (like eating).  Both forms involve the cell membrane reaching out and surrounding the fluid or solid and then bringing it to the inside of the cell.
