first add up both masses to get the mass of the compound.then, find the percentage by mass of iron by dividing the mass of iron by the whole mass, and then multiply by a 100.after that,u subtract ur answer from 100 to get the percentage by mass of chlorine.after that, divide each percentage by the respective molar masses.after getting your answers,u divide each of them by least value of your answers,to get the ratio and am sure with,i have helped.thank you.Sieyi

17.21/55.8 = 0.31
32.79/35.5 = 0.93

0.93/0.31 = 3
