For my solving systems homework I need to make up a problem involving two values that must be solved, and then solve the problem. I don't really understand what it's asking for, if anyone can give me an example of a problem I could use it would really help me! I will give best answer!

In order to solve for two unknowns, you need two equations, such as:

5x + 3y = 19
4x  -  y  =  5

Cara answer is right

For making up two equations, I would have gone for
x+y = 1 (eq1)
x-y = 1 (eq2)

sum of eq1 and eq 2 will give you 2x = 2
x = 1
Hence sub in eq1, y = 0
Very simple equations Slight Smile
