1... Advocacy can be a challenge. If a conflict arises, the nurse must remain the patient’s primary advocate. The nurse should not ask the home care agency to assign another nurse nor should the nurse contact the physician to assist with conflict resolution. The patient may or may not be ready to be discharged from home care services.
