identify a diode with a ohm's law circuit.

connect an ammeter in series and voltmeter across diode. if increasing voltage in one direction gives increasing current but increasing voltage in other direction gives no (negligible) current, its a diode. Alternatively use a multimeter.

resistance of diodes are of two types : static resistance and dynamic resistance. From the above experiment, value of V / I gives static resistance. For dynamic resistance, you plot a graph of V vs. I and find the slope.

if u hav no ammmeter or anythng else,u can still identify
the side having a band is p side, other side is n
or u can use multimeter if available,by using it in short testing mode,if it beeps, then side which is connected with red terminal of multimeter is p
