Since prokaryotes lack organelles, how do they carry out the complex task of cellular respiration (and sphotosyntehsis, in some species)?

Cellular respiration is performed anaerobically (without oxygen) through glycolysis and fermentation to create ATP without the need of a mitochondria.  They do not need chloroplasts either because oxidative phosphorylation is performed through the plasma membrane.

I lack organelles. I never had a problem with cellular respiration.

Prokaryotes lack internal organelle membranes, but they do have a cell membrane.  In bacteria, chemiosmosis occurs across the cell membrane rather than an organelle membrane as seen with respiration and photosynthesis.

    eukaryotic cell
        Chloroplasts (def) serve as organelles for photosynthesis.
    prokaryotic cell
        There are no chloroplasts. Photosynthesis usually takes place in infoldings or extensions derived from the cytoplasmic membrane.
5. respiratory enzymes and electron transport chains
    eukaryotic cell
        - The electron transport system is located in the inner membrane of the mitochondria
    prokaryotic cell
        - The electron transport system is located in the cytoplasmic membrane.
