1,2,3 -- Knowing the appropriate classification of drugs helps the nurse to anticipate possible side effects and complications of drug therapy. Compazine, Torcan, and Reglan are all considered to be dopamine antagonists. Zofran is a serotonin receptor antagonist. Vistaril is classified as an antihistamine.
