Hello, this is a basic vector problem in my textbook that I can't figure out...: If the magnitude of vector a is 5, and the magnitude of vector b is 7, and the dot product of a and b is -20, then what is |4a+11v| ? It seems like I only have 3 equations and 4 unknowns (u1, u2, v1, v2)... I may be approaching this problem completely wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
