For anyone that knows anything about chemistry or biology...
I attended a seminar on "Developing engineered baculovirus expression systems for humanized recombinant glycoprotein production? and I had no idea what was going on and now i have to a report! (i'm an art major and this was an extra credit assignment for a science course)

N-glycans are proteins that have carbohydrates attached to asparagine residues.  They're very common glycoproteins.

complex carbohydrate. "gly" denotes that it is a carbohydrate and "an" denotes it is a polysaccharide, therefore it is a complex carb
