A) is the correct answer.  The pH of the reaction would become more positive rising from a low number to a higher value.

Here is why.  Mg + H2 SO4 = Mg SO4 + H2 (g)

The hydrogen ion which makes the solution an acid is removed from the solution and given off as a gas.  With less hydrogen ion present, the solution is less acid and has a higher pH value.
