Suppose a 25.0 mL sample of a solution containing calcium ion required 27.2 mL of 0.2053 M EDTA solution to reach an Eriochrome Black T endpoint. Calculate the molarity of calcium ion in the sample and the number of milligrams of calcium contained in the sample.

EDTA reacts mole for mole with Ca2+
There are 0.2053 X 0.0272 moles of EDTA
This is the number of moles of Ca2+
multiply by molecular mass Ca to determine grams
The 25ml contains this number of moles.  hence the molarity is the number of moles times 1000/25.
