I think you mean when it's Summer in the Northern Hemisphere it is Winter in the Southern Hemisphere.

yes, it is strange to say 'sun reflected off the earth', so supposing you mean the sunlight-rays do not fall close to 'perpendicular', but rather reflected away in a 'great angle', then in this case it is winter for the northern ones and summer for the southern ones
