Is lysogeny, the DNA from a virus (either directly from the virus, or synthesized from viral RNA by reverse transcriptase) is incorporated into the host cell's chromosome - the DNA is then called a provirus.  The host cell continues to divide as before, with the daughter bacteria receiving the viral DNA as though it were bacterial DNA.
